I was hoping the table they were arm wrestling on would be green Formica, but it wasn't.

I've been mulling over the arm and the room and whatnot, but am not sure how to formulate it yet into cohesive thought.

That can't be a fluke. Bob is seated in the same chair in both shots. I love how meticulous Lynch is.

And "the arm" is sitting in the same place in each shot.

However, we do know that not everything Lynch does is premeditated.  Sometime things just happen and Lynch likes it and rolls with it, like happy accidents.

This MAY be one of those subconscious similarities, but a very cool one! Great catch!

I think, though, that post-part 8, it is clear that BOB is still in DarkDale.

But! If it were the mythic arm, wouldn't they have been arm wrestling with their left arms? That's the arm missing from MIKE/one-armed man. That's the arm that dissolved from manufactured-Dougie in the Red Room, signalling that he wasn't the Bob-filled Cooper.

So I was expecting Mr. C to use his most evil arm, the left arm.

Oh well. Arms were still involved. Now. We gotta see a good shot of Mr. C's left arm sometime and see if it's got a poem on it.

You could you call the the split between Mike(the arm) and Bob and Mikes later revelations and warnings  an "arm-wrestling i guess?

I'm not sure it is that clear.  The Bob-bubble seemed to completely emerge from Mr. C after he was shot.  The Woodsmen may have shoved him back in, but I think they were sent to retrieve Bob.  I think Bob has a higher purpose than helping a renegade punk doppelgänger.

Ray's comment "He said you got something inside that they want" was probably based on an earlier conversation with Phillip Jeffries before Ray shot Mr. C.

Mr C's super strength could be a doppelgänger trait rather  than attributed to Bob.

Maybe Bob is still with Mr C, but I have questions.

Hi Nathan,

Also, note the opposite extremes when it comes to the size of the two sitting across from BOB.  Mutt and Jeff.

Does this mean that the man in the Mardis Gras mask is really Ray - one dances while the other struggles?  😉
