So, I'm feeling that the Coffee shop next to Dougie's office is affiliated with the RR. Which means if Norma sticks to her guns in getting all of her branches to use the same quality ingredients, the cherry pies will be the same and MAYBE it will wake Coop up? Am I being too hopeful?
She franchised, they'd have the name RR/Norma's. That place is called something like Szymons.
True. Thank you for the name! The meaning of "Szymon" means "listening." That may mean absolutely nothing, but I enjoy looking into these little details anyway.
I dunno but the pie on the sign looks like a sun, which ties back to Apollo, who belongs to the ring finger in palmistry, the one Gordon called "the spiritual mound."
Somewhere in his mind Coop remembers cherry pie, it both thrills & comforts him.
These are the things that intrigue me the most.
If Coop eats Norma's cherry pie in Twin Peaks it may revive him.

Right. And seriously, I think it's the coffee and the cherry pie at Norma's, more than anything. The stuff he's having now is getting him halfway there but - and I think this was the entire point of the scene with Norma - there's nothing like the coffee and cherry pie at Norma's.
In all honesty, I think his badge - 0r a replacement - and a pair of standard Bureau issue black shoes will also help.
I had the same thoughts when watching.... he needs Norma's coffee and pie to help revive......after all they are made with love those pies!
Just a random thought, is the coffee shop the same one from New York? I remember those cups having a Z on the label and could see that name using that symbol.

Not totally sure, but I would imagine the Z has some sort of symbolism because of it being bolded.
Here are results from a quick google search on Native American symbolism with the letter Z.
"The straight horizontal line in Native American glphys represents movement upon Mother Earth and closing connections with Father Sky.
If the center line of the Z slants left it indicates the path of the soul - the journey the spirit takes and the walk that is made on within the spirit.
If the middle line in the Z slants to the right, this indicates forces that call loudly to a person's soul - passions or issues that compel a person to take a chosen path of life.
The two horizontal lines (top and bottom - connecting the middle slant line) indicate the journey of life and the understanding as we walk upon the grounding plane of Earth - we area also living the life of Sky."

Thought..... what if Norma's business partner is successful in getting Norma to sacrifice ingredients in her pies for cost? They would not be the same pies and if somehow Coop makes it back to twin peaks and the pies are not the same what would the implications of that be if any?

The Z on Sam & Tracey's coffee cups is different from the Z in SZYMON'S. And S&T's cups don't have those corrugated heat shield ring thingies on them.
Of all the interesting, crazy, unrealistic, splendid theories I've read on this forum, 'Norma's Cherry-Wake-Up-Pie' seems the most legit. Great thinking.
Dougie will go to rr, get a slice and coffee, and nothing will happen.
It will be the most fawned over scene featuring pie and coffee ever though lol.
