For me, this weeks WTF-moment was the scene with Sonny Jim jumping around in his "gym", set to a music box version of "The Swan Lake". That was really like: WTF?!

And all those lights, plus that random spotlight flying around the backyard. I thought of the black lodge immediately.

Also, their electricity bill is going to be enormous. I know, Cooper won the jackpots (MR jackpots), but Mullins had better give him a good raise or this situation isn't gonna be sustainable. Unless the Mitchum brothers have him covered...hm.

I might be thinking a bit too hard about this. They've probably got it figured out.

Swan Lake was significant (a parallel to two Coopers) as there is the 'real' swan Odette (white) and Odile- the doppleganger (black) swan. Odile almost deceives the object of Odette's affection (Prince Siegfried) but at the last moment, Siegfried realizes his error and returns to Odette.

The weird unreality of that scene fed my suspicion that SJ is sometihg other than "real" (though I am fond of the notion that SJ IS the 10 year old Dale, pulled out of time...(-;

It looked like a normal reaction of a kid receiving such a gift to play on.

Latin kid, doubt they would've chosen him to be Cooper as a child.

I would guess either result of a previous relationship Janey had, or he's adopted.

Sonny Jim seemed so excited going round and round in a loop on his gym. The spotlight was looping too.

The Giant was the one who always appeared in a spotlight. And Cooper said something to Annie once about how when you're in love it's like being in a spotlight, yes?

Oh man, I thought it was just an amazingly Vegas Casino version of a jungle gym.  The lights killed me.  The huge pointless arch was the icing on top.  Loved it.

Was the Sonny Jim and Dougie Coop baseball scene from episode out of chronological sequence? I had the impression the Mitchum brothers conga-line was the culmination of the party started when they ate cherry pie at the casino.

I don't understand the doubt, I mean the fact that he was manufactured means that he wasn't born like any human being but was created by someone else. But that doesn't necessarily imply he wasn't given a regular human being functions, like the ability to procreate. We know he's had sex with Jade.

Now what I suspect is that, if Sonny Jim is really Dougie's son, he might be somehow special, given that fact that he's the offspring of someone who is somehow related to the Lodge. But I do believe he's real and don't see any reasons he shouldn't be.

my confusion has nothing to do with how Sonny Jim got here, two people had sex, that's usually how babies are made..

So how he's not real? Maybe I misunderstood your confusion.

I'm still not entirely convinced that anything is real in the Dougie-Cooper world.

The lights in the gym reminded me of a UFO. And the music repeated, just like Sonny Jims jumping on the gym (same route again and again).
