Yes but if a manufacturer names itself "Nez Perce" it is for commercial reasons unrelated to Hawk's heritage.
In other words, I don't think a manufacturer of bathroom stall doors has something to do with Hawk's heritage, other than the name which trivializes the relationship. I think The Log and Margaret spare no time on such triviality.

“Hawk, my log has a message for you, something is missing and you have to find it. It has to do with Special Agent Dale Cooper. The way you will find it has something to do with your heritage. This is a message from the log.”
Hawk is Nez Perce. He spotted the Nez Perce logo on the toilet cubicle door, he found the missing pages of Laura's diary in the door and the clue to Cooper's whereabouts were in the missing pages. This is clearly the missing something that the Log Lady was referring to.
I understand.
We seem to have cross-posted while I was editing my post so I will paraphrase that a manufacturer's Native American logo is trivially related, in name only, to Hawk's heritage, and Lynch takes great care to show that The Log and its Lady waste no breath on the superficial.
I understand.

If it's not the missing pages of Laura's diary then what else can it be? I don't think anything else in Season 3 fits the bill.
Re: Margaret & trivial things. She used chewing gum to help Cooper in Season 2.
I understand.

Cooper's shoes. The point of this thread I started.
Re: Margaret & trivial things. She used chewing gum to help Cooper in Season 2.
Exactly.
I thought we already learned what was missing was those three pages from Laura's diary that Hawk found in the men's room door
And no one's going back into that crazy place for a dumb ole pair of shoes.
Wait and see. When DougieCoop is at the police station in Vegas the electric socket clearly draws his attention. Are you really waiting for him to wake up, rent a car and head TP?
Keep this in mind: we've already seen that, when conjugated, the electric socket numbers in the purple room match the number of his room at the Great Northern. The one whose key is now being handed to Harry Truman or that it will at least get to his knowledge.
The shoes and the key are important.
Yup, many have speculated for a while now that the shoes were a key component. One suspects that they may be humming inside the Great Northern....perhaps in one of Audrey's old hideaway, secret passages, just behind the boards?
Or we can get really weird now and say that the elaborate exit scene of the French madame in episode 12 involved her putting on her heels again. It was Lynch telling us in cryptic pantomime all along that Cooper is missing his footing. He's not grounded in our world. Also kind of hilarious that his socks had a hole in them. I imagine agent Cooper's mother would not have been proud in that moment.
Shoes ground you from electrical charges....good work!
I had this theory from near the beginning, but I'm not so sure now. It might have simply been meant as, "stepping into another man's shoes."
I've also noticed all of the other shoe connections and the 3 and the 15, but I'm really not sure what they're going to do with it.
I originally thought that "something missing" was his shoes and it having to do with Hawk's heritage might have meant going to see a shaman to do a soul retrival, with the missing soul part being Coopers shoes, but ever since he saw the Nez Perce logo and found Laura's diary pages because of it, I have no idea if the shoes will play into it at all.
I also thought that it wasn't about the bunny because of my theory, and now they are going to Jack Rabbit Palace, so that's what I get for thinking!
This explains what a soul retrival is, by the way: https://www.shamanlinks.net/shaman-info/shamanic-healing/soul-retrieval-healing/

What if Hawk's "heritage" the Log Lady is referring to is re: the Bookhouse Boys? As Sheriff Harry Truman explained, "There's a sort of evil out there. Something very, yrev strange in these old woods. Call it what you want. A darkness, a presence. It takes many forms [...] and we've always been here to fight it."
If those were chocolate bunny slippers it would be case closed!
