This is driving me insane. When Cole says this to Albert, I feel like it was a quote from one of the first two seasons or FWWM, possibly said to Laura. Probably my pregnancy brain, but after the "Let's rock" comment, I was wondering if Lynch tossed some other throwbacks in there.

Or maybe I'm just high.

You're pregnant AND high? Yikes. ;D

I took this as a joke at Albert's character, nothing more. I don't remember any line of the sort.

I'd probably need to get high to understand all of the nuances and underlying symbolism plaguing this season.

Kind of sounds like something Harry Truman would say to Coop in the original series.

That whole scene with the French lady was indeed code. Otherwise Albert would have commented sarcastically on it.

Cole also massages Albert's shoulder like he did with Dianne on the plane. That's his way of tapping into their feelings.

Tammy has been put in place to replace Albert (I think) as he will soon be going deep down the alternative path and likely won't return, hence the "haven't disappeared - yet" comment.

Couple of other takeaways: red RR in the beginning. Red dresses, red jackets, red curtains, red wine, red lipstick, blood donation, bloody Mary mixer, red label vodka etc. Red (the color) is all over this episode meaning that danger is imminent.

Also, this episode was about waiting/patience. Several long and excruciating scenes. It surely must have some significance.

Albert going blank: I wonder if this is set-up for later on, if like Miguel Albert dies in the story.

I think he was lost for words that wouldn't involve "fuck" "you" and "Gordon", because he didn't want to sound like Diane.
