After watching the first 2/3rds of Twin Peaks (to the end of Episode 12), here is my prediction/theory for how it will end.

Of course, this has no basis in any reality, like an Anne Elk Theory.

Cooper's Doppelganger (BOB) wants two things:

He wants the Real Dale (who couldn't leave the Lodge for 25 years) to die.

He wants the Experiment to die.

BOB knows he was birthed from the Experiment, that the Experiment is his mother.  BOB wants his mother dead because he wants to be the ultimate source of evil power.  BOB is full of greed and wants to be the only source of pain and sorrow.  BOB also does not want to return to the Black Lodge as there, he cannot keep all of the garmonbozia that he has collected by controlling his hosts on Earth.

BOB wants the real Dale to die because it has to happen as a result of the Dougie trick that he pulled.

??????? has sent Laura Palmer into the world to ultimately defeat BOB.  Together, Laura and Dale will accomplish that.  The Good Laura is trapped in the Lodge and she can't leave.  Dale will snap out of Dougie mode once Hawk enters the White Lodge (armed with perfect courage) and will rescue Annie (Heather Graham will make the series only surprise cameo appearance) and will rescue Cooper's shoes from the Purple Room.  Hawk will be in danger of being killed from the Experiment but will be saved by MIKE and the ARM.

Gordon, Albert and Tammy will go to Las Vegas from the lead of the wedding ring that was in Major Briggs stomach.  They will find Cooper at the same time as Hutch and Chantal.  A shootout will happen and Albert will be killed.  They will take Cooper back to Twin Peaks to see Hawk who will give him the missing shoes.  Once Cooper puts on the shoes, he will become himself again.  He will be reunited with Audrey, Hawk, Lucy, Andy and Annie.  And most importantly Sarah Palmer.  Cooper will go to see Sarah and will tell her that Laura is in trouble but that he can help her.  He will tell her that Leland never killed Laura.  Sarah will reply that she always knew it was BOB.  Cooper tells Hawk that he needs to go back into the Lodge to save Laura.  Hawk knows that this means that Cooper will never come back.  Cooper enters the Lodge, this time with perfect courage.  Chaos ensues inside the Lodge (Episode 18), ??????? defeats the Experiment, Cooper and Laura together are reunited and together defeat BOB/his doppelganger.  The ending scene of FWWM is finally in the right time sequence.

So you are saying that Mr C has mommy issues?

Also, upon first read I thought you were saying Tammy, Albert and Gordon were going to Vegas for a wedding, like their own wedding.  That would be wacky.

DoppelLaura = Mother/Experiment

Sylvia Horne = Girl from 1956

Don't ask me why...

On another site, immediately after Episode 8, Sylvia Horne was my first guess for Girl, 1956, mostly because she's always in an extremely sour mood.  We've never seen her happy.  I think (but can't confirm) that we've at least seen Sarah Palmer smile on camera.

Ok. I'll let go a little bit more about one of my stupid theories...

When the girl from 1956  is at her bedroom she as teddy on her lap.

Wherelse have we seen a teddy during the show? 😉

Btw, wasn't Laura Palmer Johnny's tutor before she died?

That's one hell of a well thought out theory!

Lynch has always loved the character of Sylvia Horne.  She only appears in his directed episodes.

As Dr. Jacoby would say..... "Oh my, yes."

Then he would hit MR. C upside the head with a golden shovel.

WAIT! There's my theory.  Jacoby's broadcast and golden shovel sales are really a ploy as he builds his rebel resistance against the coming demons. The paint he uses (2 coats/2 rides?) is actually infused with a special anti doppel agent.  He is dispersing them to his true believers in order to rise up and fight for all that is good and right and true! Never back down and never surrender! DAMN THE MAN!  SAVE THE EMPIRE!

Only $29.95.

Myn0k:

?????? is actually Cooper. Thus, Cooper birthed Laura Palmer all along. Due to some time paradox thingiemabob (is it past or present?), the Giant is now in Dougie's body, and Cooper is in the White Lodge playing the role of the Fireman.

Myn0K....i love it!  Especially having ??????? and Cooper having the first scene in Twin Peaks together and understanding each other perfectly.  Or as the Giant put it, "one and the same".

Now that is interesting. Do we have an image comparison of the two teddies?

The girl from 1956 was the first host of BOB. Therefore She's long dead and the reason why BOB wants young women since then.

So the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy had it wrong!  42 wasn't the answer....29.95 was!

Candy will be Diane's daughter.

Richard and Linda will be twins or, Richard is schizophrenic and is both.

Harry "beats" whatever ailment he is fighting.

Richard and Linda are Richard and Linda Thompson reunited and will play at the Roadhouse having turfed all those youngsters off the stage.

Coop will return to Coop and realise how much he's missed fishing so will get together with Jack Ryan and Sean Connery's character from the Hunt for Red October in one of the Sounds off the New York coast while workers refit that Russian submarine.

The experiment scenes will have the camera draw back and reveal this weird entity to be in a controlled situation with a teacher with a tweed jacket, including patches on the elbow telling her or his students, that this is what happens when you mix x, y and z together, you get the mother of all evil. Then the bell goes and all the kids pile out, apart from one who's got a crush on the teacher...

Oh, not that wacky... 🙂

Remember the formula from "One Saliva Bubble", also co written by Frost and Lynch:

II x PIG^2 x C = (BOB)

(2 birds with one stone)

I prefer this to mine. I love Hawk's perfect courage influence on Cooper.

I had forgotten about the Janey-E's ring. Hmm, can we assume that Evil Coop put that there to lure the FBI in, or?
