I have rewatched many episodes before, but trying to study it all again from part 1 on. Each time, something stands out more, because of the new ideas fleshed out in later episodes.

I just finished rewatching  and studying parts 1 thru 3 again. It took me several hours. And I must say, that I am simply beside myself. What a masterpiece The Return is. Incredible. An absolute masterpiece.

I must watch the first few parts again.  I've re-watched bits & pieces of them, but I'd like to just sit & enjoy them.  At the time I think I was really scared I wouldn't like it after waiting so long...

Lynch claims that it will be released as an 18hr movie in the cinemas.

That will be something!

I'm probably going to wait until it's finished then do a weekend marathon. Have to get someone to walk the dog during episode 8 though, the sounds freaked him out massively.

I've watched every episode twice except last week.

I usually find 1-2 things in the rewatch, but I don't find this on the "masterpiece" level at all. It's ok at best imo. Two much non-peaks lynch material shoved into this season imo. I do think watching it straight through like a movie would make it better.

I also rewatched up to part 4 and found that without the impatience to know what's going to happen next that i was able to relax into the pure masterpiece of the return. I believe it will stand the test of time. Genius!

Episodes 1-4 are, I think, undeniably brilliant. Re-watching them was definitely a worthwhile experience for me. Episodes 5-7. Not so much.

Showtime  are going to show the whole series before the final 2 parts so you will be able to watch it has an 18 hour movie starting from 4.00 o'clock in the morning.

I definitely think watching it all again from the beginning once it's finished will take it to a new level. We will definitely spot things we didn't notice before, and without the desire to find out what's going to happen next, we can just enjoy it for what it is.

I don't like the idea of watching all 18 parts in one go, though. Even with breaks to do what's necessary, spending the entire day sitting looking at a screen is extremely bad for you. Of course, it's everyone's right to do whatever they want, just as you can spend a whole weekend eating nothing but chocolate ice cream if you really want to. Just don't be surprised if one day you realise your health isn't as good as it could be, that's all I'm saying.

Well, I intend to spend the entire weekend - as I always do - just hanging around in my underwear.

It gets me kicked out of a lot of places, though. 😉
