Much loud swearing and consternation-I sounded like the neighbor in "Dumbland" for the last half of Part 12...meltdown in progress...
Same man!
I had to go buy something to drink after that episode, I didn't want too, I wasn't going to, but that episode made me want to drink...
This episode wasn't that good. I can't stand anymore Dr Jacoby, even though I don't think we've seen the last of him. But what's the point of it? And Jerry in the woods? And all these short scenes from the Roadhouse that doesn't seem to be connected in any way? Hmmf...
What's hard for me to see is that others don't see that the disconnect is the point.

No shit it's the point...
...but that doesn't make it good.
"What happened to Season 3, Coop-(sinister laughter)-What happened to Season 3?!"
I wasn't so keen on this episode. Gonna watch it again in a minute to see if anything changes...
I really don't think this "but that's the point", "it's supposed to be crap" argument is cutting it anymore. With only 18 hours, episodes like this are such a waste.

I'm starting to feel the same way. So much time wasted in this episode. I don't need to just sit and watch conversations that are unnaturally prolonged where people just stare at each other for extended periods.
We're getting all the stuff that would normally be cut and end up appearing as DVD extras. This could have been a really tight 9-episode miniseries instead 18 episodes where half of the time is wasted.

very correct, its kind of an easy cop out to say that, sometimes bad is just bad not "I set out to make this bad to be cool in reverse and change the way tv is done"
Pretty sure this won't offer any relief to those not finding the required joy / pleasure but..."Some genres, such as art films or subjective sequences in mainstream films, block or freeze the PECMA (perception, emotion, cognition, motor action) flow, by either evoking memories or associations that cannot be readily integrated into the narrative, or by refusing to depict any clear goal or narrative resolution through concrete action. This interruption of the PECMA flow, Grodal (2009) argues, has the effect of eliciting intense but unfocused affective states (“saturated emotions”), or the kind of abstract, transcendent, or expressive forms of meaning that art films (for example by Lynch or Resnais) are apt to evoke (148)." (Sinnerbrink 2010).
I promise I am not being contrary for the sake of it but I loved it.
There were plenty of things happening, maybe not entirely connected with the main plot but enough connections to make it worthwhile.
This was certainly an episode for bit of a breather. I was ready for a bit of tedium (I even managed to lose concentration in this episode and had to rewind...). I think this is the deep breath before we wind up for the final act. Not that the rest is going to be non-stop action-packed. Oh no. But I'd put my money on a bit of catching up with DoppelCoop next week, the Bookhouse Boys begin to reconnect in Part 14, something Totally Weird in 15, some minor wrapping up and bewildering distractions in 16 and then all out for double part final. Not much time left really, so I thought it was OK to wander through Part 12 as if we had all the time in the world.
I understand your frustration, but for me, the last 2 episodes is where the pacing got... errr... pacier? It almost seemed like a return to a standard narrative at times. Things are starting to add up and make some sense now.

If it's beginning to make sense, can you explain to me what on earth the Audrey Horne scene was about other than a cheap exercise in bathos?
