I'm beginning to think that the ring is gonna be very important to the story. Also the moment Laura put the ring on vinger before her murder. In 'the history of twin peaks' book the ring showed up different times way before the atomic bomb. The ring was with the indians in the beginning of the book, and it showed up year after year.. i think eventually it's gonna be the key to the story in some kind of way.
The ring is with Mike in the waiting room, can't see it appearing again
Interesting idea.
Is there only 1 ring?
To rule them all! 😉

Lol, but are we sure about that? Seems the ring has been way too busy to be singular.
P.s. If Gollum makes an appearance in this show, I'm done watching!
Just kidding, you know I can't stop.
I can already hear the "Fire Walk With Me" or the "This Is The Water" mantras in Gollum's voice! 🙂
OMG, ear worm from hell. Now it's stuck in my head. Just like Trent Reznor singing My Favorite Things was stuck in there all last night and this morning.
YOU PEOPLE ARE EVIL!
luv u
Shortly followed by the Shake and Vac song.
OMG I just looked it up.
I never realized being a housewife was so much fun!
I've always thought that there are many (lost aura) Owl Cave symbol rings (some in the everyday world and possibly only one in the Lodge/Red Room/Above-the-Convenience-Store/dream world). They're, like all rings, signs of gender exploitation "club" membership and the implied advantages (protection) and disadvantages (illusions of safety). In FWWM (and Lost Highway) they relate to marriage-infidelity (and incest - he is my father, and my lover) and to prostitution (protected-exploited by organised crime and police corruption). In some ways also like the little glass figurines that lead from the perfume counter to One Eyed Jack's in the original series, and like the badge Cooper/Copper obsesses about.

I agree with you! The ring is what ties together all of the events, or at least explains the mechanics of the lodge and its inhabitants when they live in our world.
I also had a feeling that Frost was frustrated with how unclear the real ring's power and importance wasnt clear enough in FWWM and he will now try to explain or at least include it more in the story....we already know it has something to do with Dopplegangers and it can be used to create doubles/dougies...so I wonder what mike is going to use it for next...
But I am sure we are not quite done with it
I feel like the Ring has always been important, but this is a chance to finally explain some of the attributes of it. As far as I've figured, the Ring appears to prevent the wearer from being possessed by BOB and may have the ability to grant the wearer time-warping powers, but apart from that... nothing's ever been really explained.
I'm excited to see more of it.
