Anyone else notice she, very appropriately, has a copy of Munch's The Scream on her wall?
100% pure wall hung garmonbozia
An old Nic Roeg favourite, having the background mirror or contrast the action.
In Performance, the gangsters are in an adult movie theatre, beating some guy up, while a BDSM film plays on the screen.
I'm secretly hoping it was Sylvia Horne that the, uhh, you know, "thing" crawled into the mouth of. On the surface, Laura's mother seemed like a better candidate, but Sylvia's life has also been one of misery. The only thing missing was that "Girl 1956" seemed to have, for lack of a better term, 'psychic" qualities suggested about her as well ("I just knew you lived there..." or however she says it).
I guess we'll need to see someone with those same knee indentations to put it all together.
Chris, I missed it. Where was it in the house or when in the episode can we find it?
I'm at work at the moment, so can't reasonably sit here watching the episode again (even though it is Friday afternoon). There was a shot from the far end of the table that Johnny was sitting at, near the door on the left is a fairly abstract painting, to the right of this further back in the shadows at the end of the room was the Scream.
I'll take another look tonight and try and grab a screen shot.
27:14, my screen grab is a bit grainy, I'm not so sure now...
