Oh the garmonbozia!  Oh the horror!

In the UK this week we're being bumped an hour from 2am live screening to 3:10am because of Game of Bloody Thrones.

Sigh...

I always watch it on nowtv.com anyway. I'm not staying up until the early hours of the morning, not even for Twin Peaks!

Some weeks I've not watched it until Tuesday evening because I've been busy on some Monday evenings. Then I have to be careful where I go online, in case I come across spoilers. That means no Google News or Twitter.

But when I do watch it, I put a "do not disturb" sign outside my room, close my blinds, plug in the high quality headphones, and strap myself in for the ride.

I imagine anyone who watched Part 8 in the early hours of the morning didn't get to sleep...

I've watched them all in the early hours and you're right - sleeping after Episode 8 was pretty much impossible...

In California, we end up watching live at 6pm PST- in full daylight-which is a bit distracting...."wow, a mushroom cloud in the living room...oh look, birdies!"

I have to admit, the middle of the night does create the appropriate mood 🙂  But 3am is pushing us even further into "my brain is screaming to be asleep" land.  I won't be giving up on my nocturnal viewings but I'm annoyed we're being displaced.

By the time the show is over and I'm in bed, morning twilight is upon us and the birdies are up and singing me to sleep 🙂

I never watch it as screened, since I need me sleep, so I always watch the next evening after the little ratbags darlings are in bed.  That way I get some peace and quiet, which is a rare and magical treasure in this house.

Same here in New Zealand. TP makes way for GoT. The TV guide has stopped listing TP as a do not miss.

We did enjoy GoT, but it's not Twin Peaks, period.

While my dog acts borderline-offended at the disruption to her sleeping routine caused by the middle-of-the-night viewing, she's become very entranced with Detective Smiley Fusco's laugh...

Well, for me, I wouldn't have much of a choice, since Young Master Therapy and Little Miss Therapy are not what you'd call the quietest or best behaved children in the world.  If I can get to see TP Monday night before midnight, it's a plus.

Mrs Therapy doesn't want to watch it until she's seen the original shows and FWWM, so I can lurk at my desk with the headphones on, totally absorbed.

It's great with headphones. You hear every sound and get totally absorbed in it. Even with Jerry's scenes in the woods, it's great to hear the subtle woodland sounds so clearly.

I remember when I first got into Twin Peaks, aged 12 I started watching it in bed part way through Season 2's run. I often used to fall asleep part way through episodes. Messed with my head a bit, to say the least.

I just imagine any kids who watched Part 8 probably went mental and spent all night screaming.

I always watch it on a Monday once the kids have been put to bed.

Can't be dealing with staying up til the early hours!

I've not waited up into the early hours for it, but it's my first port of call upon waking come Monday mornings, if work isn't in the way. If I had a time machine, I'd be turning the dial to the 24th of this month!

I have too, and can offer little in the explanation for said addiction.
