No doubt this scene plays a huge role and it's a big deal, maybe we'll see a similar one in the next episodes.
I think it's more than just a volume adjuster. Listen to it in Episode 10 after Albert signals him to turn it up. It sounds like frequencies are changing, like a radio dial. It's the first time I think they let you hear it that closely. If it was just a volume dial, you would not hear those sounds as he adjusted up/down.
One thing that struck me over the last 24 hours was around the extra footage at the head of the original trailer, where Gordon answers the phone and says, 'this is Cole.'
Anyone want to bet that call is from either Truman, or I think more likely Hawk?
imho, it's too much of a setup for there not to be a premium payoff...
Banging on the door: Gordon has a major reaction because his hearing aid is cranked way up to hear Albert whisper.
Hi Karen,
And yet Cole didn't hear anything when Laura (Albert?) rattled the door handle before Albert knocked. =:-O
Hmmm....

Something you ASSUME happened.

Hi Karen,
Not anymore! 😉
Now I think it was the squeak of the pen as Gordon put the button on the sleeve of the Hand of God. 😉

"Albert's path is a strange and difficult one," but I would be shocked if he's anything other than a straight shooter.

I agree. He's definitely an old school good guy.

when it comes to Albert's character, I can't help but recall the interaction(s) he had with Harry S. and ultimately saying , "I love you man!"... (one of those 'laugh and cry at the same time' moments for me) Albert also had bad vibes from Diane from the get-go... as in, there was no way he was going back to see her without Gordon going too.
this is WAY off-topic but I just came from reading the posts on Part 11 (huge sigh) some chatter about Wally made me think, hell yea, I'd watch a whole show of an encounter between Albert and Wally.

It's probably a good job Albert is a pacifist. I reckon a few seconds conversation with Wally and he'd be reaching for his gat, otherwise.
.... if Gordon's Douglas Fir Doodle is a dog, could that tie to Mr. C' dog legs?
lol, a dog named Fire (I'm not too proud to say I saw flames at top of antlers?)
Like most dogs, he loves to go for strolls. Can you hear Gordon calling out? "Fire, walk with me"
(sorry, I get pre-show jitters about this time each week and need comedy to relieve tension) 🙂
