Audrey and Wheeler clearly had sex in that plane, and Audrey said just beforehand that she was a virgin. The bank explosion would have been maybe a few days after that. I think she would have had every reason to assume he was the father.

Regardless, something must have happened to him, because it would seem he never returned to Twin Peaks as he promised her he would. He was leaving suddenly to go to Brazil because something had happened to his friend. Not for nothing, we are shown a picture of Mr. C in Brazil by Albert (the one where he is at Al Capone's mansion). So, I'm gonna take a little leap and suggest that Mr. C killed John Justice Wheeler. Probably in a way that just caused him to disappear and never be heard from again.

It is stuck at border patrol. 🙂

I just broke down and bought it for Kindle.  Hopefully it is workable with this format or I'll be reading it on my phone.

Hi Cæmeron,

Good idea!  Maybe Mr. C somehow wheedled Wheeler into forking his fortune over to him - maybe even using Audrey's condition as a come-on - before killing him.  That could be how he started becoming so wealthy himself.  =:-O

The book explains how he got so rich. As for Audrey, perhaps the ecplosion caused her some brain trauma that damaged her short term memory. (Not too far a stretch) She may have forgotten about JJW. She went through extreme physical and emotional trauma so any uexplainable reaction from her is understandable.

Hi Gretchen,

Which book?  The Secret History or the Final Dossier?

😉

Thanks in advance,
