I find it way too linear, it's quite boring to me now.
"Les Revenants" was great indeed, amazing soundtrack, especially the First Season.
There was also a French film based on that story a few years ago.
I didn't go back through this whole thread to check if anyone had recommended The Leftovers, or even if I did. If not, I do think that I/we should have.
The more I think about the show, the better I think it is, which is something I can only say about a handful of TV shows - maybe even just this and Twin Peaks.
I have started writing about it, if anyone is interested in reading. Looking forward to the one that is scheduled for this Friday.

Channel? Platform?
The Leftovers was pretty good, bordering on spectacular. Considering how damn good it was, I was amazed that it lasted as long as it did on HBO. Good, solid finale as well, the last series was strong and amazing.
I'm a big fan of the Fargo television series and pretty stoked to hear that we'll get a fourth series, although it's a long ways off it will be something to really look forward to!
Yeah, the more I think about The Leftovers, the better I think it was. There aren't a lot of shows I can say that about. Twin Peaks, obviously, but beyond that it would be a pretty short list.
(And it was on HBO, Brandy)
I enjoyed the first two seasons of Fargo. Have yet to see the third, though I have heard it was also quite good. Apparently Chris Rock is going to be in the fourth? I don't know what to make of that...
I'd like to watch the finale of The Leftovers again because I remember feeling a little a sense of anti-climax at the time, but thinking back to what happened (no spoilers) I'd probably get more from it a second time. Otherwise, I agree it was excellent, especially that second season, which was sublime.
Damon Lindelof is helming the TV version of Watchmen, which will be interesting. Lindelof does tend towards the sentimental, which I would think wouldn't suit Watchmen, so I'll be interested to see what transpires.

Yeah, the HBO episode description for The Leftovers finale is something like, "Nothing is explained. Everything is explained. It ends." I think it is excellent, though. I was just watching the very end again last night as I was writing about Kevin, and couldn't help but tear up a bit.
And I am also curious as to what Watchmen will be like. I plan to check it out, though
