I don't know if this has been discussed or debated but it just keeps resonating with me.
After reading this amazing find:

and then I saw this post about the Twin Peaks sign with this picture:
So it immediately occurred to me that there are a lot of Power poles and lines in the image. And then I remembered the ARM:
And it seems a lot like the Transformer (which is basically the brains and the power of the Pole) is a representation of the brain on the arm. and all the appendages would be the arms of the pole and the lines running to it.
Maybe I am behind the times on this one but it has bee slowly developing in my head over the past few days.
And who hasn't gone under a pole with a bad transformer making all those weird noises that the arm say he sounds like.
