When James started playing the guitar intro to "Just You," I seriously thought for a moment that he was going to perform "Hallelujah," in the style of Jeff Buckley. I had forgotten what his song even sounded like, lucky me. It had me scared for a moment, because "Hallelujah" is one of those songs everyone and their 9-year-old sister is trying to sing. One of the cover versions (I can't remember if it's Buckley) has a guitar intro that sounds very, very similar to "Just You." It's not that it's a particularly hard song to sing (probably easier than JY), but people tend to try to sound like Jeff Buckley when they perform it, and that's generally not a good idea. ☕
"Grace" would have fit so well in Twin Peaks, though.
Wait in the fire, wait in the fiiiiiiiire...
That would have been a perfect fit ? Corpus Christi would have worked nicely too, for atmosphere if nothing else.
Oooooor... Lilac Wine, performed at the Roadhouse at the end of an especially emotional episode. If Jeff had been alive, the forces that control the Universe would probably have found a way to get him on stage.

That girl at 5:30 is like Rennée for real.
I still to this day desperately wished they had nabbed a bit of local talent to play the roadhouse. That was one of my few big disappointments.
At least "Tammy Preston" didn't perform. ?
Chrysta Bell has a good voice, she just sings so... specially.
Lol I didn't say anything about Chrysta Bell. ?
