Is it wrong that this made me kind of mad at her?

For making David rewrite Audrey's arc? DL wouldn't have done so  if he didn't see merit in Sherilyn's suggestion.

Yeah, but true enough, and "mad" is probably too strong a word. I guess I just really want to know what the original plan was. And, we don't really know what happened.

My understanding was that only Kyle MacLachlan got to read the whole script, and everyone else only got the scenes they were in, for what it's worth.

Yes, you're correct, only Kyle got to read the whole script. The only part Sherilyn read was the one for Audrey.

We won't know what the original Audrey plot was, but I am sure David changed it for the better.

Mark Frost said in the original script, Audrey was running a hair salon and interacted with Richard. However, David told Mark he wanted to change the story (presumably after his discussion with Fenn). Other info here

I love actors and actresses that love their characters.  That probably makes her difficult to work with sometimes but I think it makes her a champion for her character too.  I absolutely adore what they did with her this season, that was a knockout punch with her last scene.  I'm glad she got them to change whatever they did!
