I probably could/should have posted about this a bit sooner, but if you all don't know, 25YL and the FB group Twin Peaks: Between Two Worlds are pairing up for a weekly rewatch of The Return, starting tonight at 8pm EDT. The idea is to basically re-create the weekly schedule from last year, so it's Parts 1 and 2 tonight.
25YL will be publishing weekly rewatch articles, along with some new interviews and cool stuff like that, as well as live-tweeting (#ReturnRewatch), and TP:BTW is trying to get a sort of online viewing party kind of thing going, as I understand it.
So, if you have been thinking about watching the whole thing again, this is a chance to do so with a community. We'll see how it goes, but it would be cool if it also caused a bit of an uptick in the activity here on our beloved forum.
Oh damn, wish I'd known sooner. Maybe I can start later in the week.
It would be awesome to start all the conversations over again knowing what we know now.
Please post your experiences and observations!
Well, all you are missing is the live-tweeting and such at present, though that's interesting in its way. Hop on the train in time for next week, if you're so inclined!
How's the rewatch going? I keep expecting to see posts............
If you follow 25YL on Twitter or join the FB group, there have been many re-posts of articles from this time last year and such, which can be kind of interesting to read. In terms of new stuff, here is Lindsay's Rewatch article for the week: https://25yearslatersite.com/2018/05/21/red-rooms-glass-boxes-prison-cells-return-rewatch-parts-1-2/
And an interview with Carel Struycken: https://25yearslatersite.com/2018/05/22/carel-struycken-discusses-being-the-giant-fireman-the-return-and-much-more/
There are some more pretty exciting interviews coming down the pike, too, as I understand it.
Honestly, I've moved out of all the other forums. Too much negativity and rudeness.
Understandable. I can post the rewatch articles here if you want. It could structure some conversation to talk about these episodes in retrospect, if people are into it.
The live-tweeting on Sunday was pretty fun, although strange for me. I think it was the first time I ever did anything while I was at the same time watching Twin Peaks, to have my eye on twitter the whole time.

This is the only forum I am on but I'm part of a few facebook groups..... I get confused which one I have read what in....
This is the only Twin Peaks related site I'll visit (well and it's doppleganger version on facebook) and be active in. I'll read articles elsewhere, sure, but I will only post here.
I rarely engage on FB myself, but both the 25YL group and Twin Peaks: Between Two Worlds are well-moderated and tend to be civil, in my experience.
Anyway, it would be cool if people on here engaged in a rewatch as well. I can't say that there was much that I felt I hadn't noticed before in watching Parts 1 and 2 again, personally, but that's because I had already seen them so many times! I will keep an eye out moving forward, though, for things we might dig into.
I guess the biggest mystery in those first two parts remains, for me, the question of who Mr. C is speaking to when he makes that phone call in the hotel room. Do you all have settled views on that question, given everything that we know now?
Okay we gotta do it!!!! Re-watch time!!!!!!!!!!

No , I can't think who it could be. I've thrown around Lelands name as he was with Bob before.
Mike also was with Bob before but he changed to help Coop.
After the blanket revelation, perhaps it was grandson!
I will try to keep up with the re-watch. I'm a little behind but should be easy enough to catch up.
The grandson (Pierre) does magic. Red does magic. Red is Pierre. Balthazar Getty plays Red. Getty was in Lost Highway. Lost Highways features a menacing phone call. Therefore, it is Red on the phone.
Bob's your uncle.
