Hello, I'm new to the Twin Peaks books/movies but want to get started. I'm sure this is already asked, but don't want to go through the posts with the possibility of seeing spoilers. I enjoy reading books and then watching the series/movies that related to the book.  So what order should I read and watch the books/movies.  I would want to watch a series right after the book.  In other words, for Harry Potter, I would read book 1, than watch the corresponding movie, read book 2 and so on. Any list would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forum and to the jack rabbits hole that is Twin Peaks.

If the books you are referring to are The History and The Final Dossier, or Even The Diary....DO NOT READ THEM FIRST!  These are supplementals, NOT CORE STORIES!

Watch the original series 1st, season 1 & 2. Then watch the movie Fire Walk With Me. Read the The Diary after this if you are so inclined. If you want to read The History, go ahead and do that at this time or whenever.

Then watch the 3rd season, The Return. And THEN AND ONLY THEN read The Final Dossier.

Am I missing anything my fellow Peaksies?

@b-randy I would suggest reading The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer between season 1 et 2, because this is when it was released and was meant to fill the gap between both seasons.

Not sure when the Cooper book was released.

That being said, there are a few minor discrepancies between these books and the television show, and the movie.
