Well, it is kind of like Sarah was showing what was inside her. And it was something that he wouldn't want to f*ck with ...
Indeed. But the toothy smile has always been particularly creepy and out of place to me. Doesn't really make sense so it being Laura's smile from the pic makes total sense. I just don't know that it's the reality.
I thought it was Bob or Judys smile

Still could be.
I have a question: When Coop And Diane reach 430 miles, they shudder, jump position, and then flash - it's suddenly night time and all their previous emotions are wiped away. They drive to the motel and of course Diane sees herself while Coop is getting the room. They smash down and in the morning they find themselves -arguably- in the 'real' world.
But, where were they between 430 and morning? What reality was that brief amount of time after being taken out of Twin Peaks, but before the 'real'? Any thoughts on that? a purgatory of some kind, a waiting room, chanting out between two worlds? Tres Monde.
Speaking of chanting out between two worlds, I think of that when we hear Sarah calling Laura in ep.18. I am just totally in love with the final scene. The confusion, the grim failure, the desperate wanting for conclusion, and then Laura's immaculate scream. I get the full body shiver every time. I am not in the camp of disappointment with the finale. It's subtle, and the intensity of it has only matured over time for me.
^ I think they went through a time warp of sorts. The car was barely moving before the electricty then came out speeding in the dark. Same road, different time.
Could this theory work?
Original story has Laura killed by Leland/Bob.
Next timeline after Coop saves Laura, she's just missing never found. Leland commits suicide.
Next timeline after Coop saves Laura , she gets the Carrie Page existence. Sarah is infested with frogmoth.
Next timeline....... season 4

The hell if I know but I like your direction!

ugh timelines...
I still can't wrap my head around the date that Cooper asked Jefferies to send him back to February 23rd 1989. Because when Cooper gets back to that date does the whole thing just repeat itself with different results?
BUT YES Season 4, and hurry before too many more cast members die off!
Truthfully though, I definitely fluctuate between having my peace and letting it die, or screaming for more and killing myself again...either way there is going to be death involved!
Well, it made me think about the end of ep17 when Coop says some things will change etc
I was thinking while at work, in the 'yrev' scene it's easy to focus on the 'yrev' and be satisfied that you've found Waldo. But. Wasn't Mr. C acting super bizarre the whole time? He's never before or since been that inarticulate and stiff and incoherent. Was it just him being entirely unable to mimic Coop, as awkward as that smile, or was he being influenced... By what I don't know. Gordon's presence, or... But it was totally uniquely strange - repeating himself and senseless logic.

Are you talking about when they interview Mr C in gaol?
yeah
His whole, 'when I had my accident', and repeating himself. And not being convincing at all in his lies

Maybe he didn't want to say anything that would give himself away?
Perhaps it was effect of vomiting up all of the garmonbozia?
I saw it as both the effect of massive vomiting AND trying to act like Cooper with little success. But I think that is a scene I should go back and re-watch sooner than later.
just off his game, huh? I dunno, to me it seems like too obvious for all the other subtleties. Like he really was in flux for having dodged a recall. Almost like he was tainted with a little Dougie. Mostly I'm wondering what Lynch intended with that presentation.
