I keep finding new things, as most of you do, so can we post them here?

I just noticed in ep 9  that when sheriff trueman opens garlands message and they see "cooper cooper" and Hawk says 2 coopers" there's actually  co  indicating 3 coopers.

Yes. That's from the original printout that Briggs showed to Cooper in Room 315. "Row after row of gibberish and all of a sudden 'the/owls/are/not/what/they/seem' . . . Later in the morning Cooper/Cooper." There are at least five Coopers on the original print out. We discussed it in the part 9 section and it seemed insignificant at the time, but after viewing the finale, it seems like foreshadowing. Thanks for the reminder.

I keep thinking about how  the 2 scenes with the "my prayer " song must be linked somehow. ....

The Diane & Marjorie Cameron discovery is very cool.

"But as time went by Parsons assumed another function in Cameron’s life as he gradually became her magical mentor. He renamed her Candida, recommended books, prescribed rituals and meditative practices to deal with her depressions. When Jack Parsons died in an explosion at the age of thirty-seven, Cameron was left alone, wondering whether she was human or not. "

In the original message there were 3 Coopers.

In TPTR there were 3 Coopers if you include Dougie, who then died (or whatever it is tulpas do when they expire), so then the message became 2 Coopers.

Below is the scene in question. I count five Coopers (technically 4 and a Co).

I'd also say that there is Cooper, Mr. C, Dougie, Dougie 2.0 and Richard.

What do you guys make of ep 8?

I keep thinking about the girl re:

Her leg markings                               rose wallpaper                                  the frog/moth

There were many eggs from the A-bomb.  Do we assume many others entered people?  Why did they stay in the ground for 14 years? Was it the woodsmans poem that awoke them?

Only one egg was like BOB.

Thoughts?

Regarding the printout Briggs brought to Coop, thank you! I had been remembering a later episode that opened with scenes of the night sky and had (I believe) Wyndham's voice whispering "Cooper, Cooper." All these years, I had assumed Earle was behind the Cooper space messages (and they maybe could've gone that way), but now it seems like even if he was, it was because lodge forces set him to do it. Seems to me the Fireman may have used Wyndham as just a pawn to draw Cooper into the lodge....

Ive been nursing the idea (everyone has, right?) that Cooper was fated by the lodge to work with Laura and destroy Judy, just like Freddie and Andy and maybe Lucy (maybe even Mr. C!) were all given roles by the Fireman to work toward the sex magick/destroy Judy ending.

Im sure Lynch/Frost and other writers had none of this ending in mind when they wrote that "prophetic" scene with Briggs, but a generation later, the Cooper/Cooper/Cooper "mcguffin" was given some meaning (or meaningS). This thing was written like the Bible I tell ya.

Assuming that the "frogmoth girl" is Sarah, that she and Leland were both invaded by evil eggs spread by Mother, maybe Lynch intended this to be just one of the many tragic stories of evil birthed by Mother and the Manhattan Project nuclear tests. Given those tests happened six months before Lynch was born and the Bob/frogmoth evils came to fruition decades later, maybe this is Lynch reflecting on how as he (as we) get older, the world seemed less and less innocent; more evils were revealed.

That whole paragraph is mostly a joke. I could read all kinds of stuff into it. ... I doubt they had any intention for all those other eggs. It was a visual. As Lynch said about Audrey: "what matters is what it means to us."

Something that caught my attention when reading The Secret History of Twin Peaks was that when Jack Parsons was found after the explosion which killed him, one of his arms was missing. I've wondered if this was inspiration for the One-armed Man character ?
