What do you think about my theory about Mr C being Bob and Windoms soul inside a Coop lookalike body ?
He uses the same suitcase as Windom , there's the bonsai in the glass box room, he knew Andy from the bug in the bonsai.... have a look at the red room scene in series 2 finale.

I read through the thread and you make some great points. One thing to consider, if BOB took Windom's soul, would it not be assimilated with BOB? That could explain the briefcase and bonsai tree - though from reading The Final Dossier, it's strongly suggested that Mr. C shot Leo (FBI stance) immediately after the events of the original series finale and if so he probably would've collected Windom's briefcase. If BOB owns Windom's soul and BOB is within Mr. C then perhaps this could explain these similarities with Earle.
Also, since I strongly suspect Lynch would want nothing to do with Windom (quickly dispatched in Episode 29, no mention in FWWM) perhaps Frost (who was chiefly responsible for creating the Windom character) wrote the briefcase and bonsai tree into the script to subliminally suggest Windom's influence within Mr. C via BOB.

I'm saying that Bob took Windoms soul - we see that happen, and Bob even tells us. I think he then occupies the Doppleganger body and THIS is Mr C.
