If the Emmy nominations list I just saw is accurate, the Return has only one! Lynch and Frost for best writing in a limited series. That's it. Depressing.

Kyle certainly deserved a nomination. Do they think it's easy playing four or five versions of the same character?

Laura Dern was nominated for something else.

Oh well...pearls before swine I suppose.

Edit: I didn't see the list for more "minor" categories. Maybe DL got one for sound design. If he didn't it would be a travesty.

sorry, I jumped the gun a bit. I missed that DL got a nomination for directing. And I guess there are a few nominations in "minor" categories. But Kyle's non nomination is mind boggling.

That's pretty disappointing, Twin Peaks and Counterpart getting shut out in the big categories. At least the Americans got a little love.

And as for Kyle not getting a nomination, it's bizarre. He really gave such a tour de force of a performance.
