Do you think Janey-E is really Dianes half sister or was that a ploy to lead the FBI team to Las Vegas?

I can't decide if I think Mr C chose and arranged for  Janey-E to marry Dougie because she is Dianes estranged half sister or if they concocted the whole story in order to lead the Blue Rose task force to Las Vegas.

I'm guessing Mr C put the ring in Major Briggs stomach as part of the plot to lead the FBI team to Vegas.

What do you think?

I've given this a lot of thought and I'm not entirely convinced that Diane was even related to Janey-E. Seemed too "convenient." Of course I could be totally off base (and probably am), but just doesn't sit right with me, especially after finding out that Diane is/was a Tulpa working for the dark side.

I always assumed that Mr. C chose to plant his Dougie tulpa close, but not too close, maybe so he wasn't sucked back to the red room by mistake, but also Dougie should be within his 'network' so he could keep an eye on this very important tool.  C has got Diane - either because she's a tulpa of his making, or because his Cooper memories and also that sexual assault adventure made for Diane being a close associate and then through her he could (theoretically?) be aware of where Dougie and Janey-E are situated.  I'm fairly confident that it isn't a happy coincidence or a lazy plot coincidence either way.

Or hell, maybe Dougie had enough Cooper in him that he was drawn to whatever Janey-E and Diane had in common.  A proxy union for what they represent.

Wait, do we all do that....?

Completely plausible. I just could never quite buy into that tidbit about her being Diane's sister. But sure, why not.  🙂

And I do think we all likely do that.

Devil's advocate aside, I'm right there with you, Brandy.  The sister thing is a complete Diane deceit, right?  Lead the agents down the right path, but not too obviously.

I'm still split down the middle. If they really are estranged half-sisters it's definitely not random, it was an intentional plant.

What about the ring? Are we convinced Mr. C. put it in his stomach?

This was my thought more or less at the time, or at least soon after.

Would Briggs have swallowed the ring knowing that it would be a breadcrumb to follow?

Maybe he was on to the whole Dougie situation and devised a plan to produce a clue that he could still pass along despite being reduced to a naked, headless body.

This is very plausible. If this is accurate I wonder if it was a real ring from the Vegas couple or if Briggs fabricated it for this purpose. Did he have the foresight to know he'd be decapitated? Did he sacrifice his own body so that his head may eternally float through space relaying "blue rose"' clues? The Final Dossier hath provided many answers, answers I never would have expected but a few mysteries like this remain.
