We get if Coop just leaves the 'natural' order of things to run their course, I guess. If Coop stops meddling with time, the angels will come. A good reason for why Coop could be being punished by 'forces'. He just can't leave it alone. 

It's gotta be transference, right?  The way he feels about losing Caroline he attached to Laura?  Bad things happen to good people.  I've never been inspired to enter the underworld to bring em back, much as I would prefer them here.  It is a perversion and hubris to 'fix' the natural order.  Maybe there's bigger game at stake, or maybe it's just curiosity killed the coop.
