I don't know if anyone already noticed this or not. But I was watching this again last night and in the part where Cooper and Gordon are in the security screen room talking about Jim Jefferies walking past Cooper on camera, Gordon then asks "And where is Chet Desmond?!" Right when Gordon says this, it looks like Chet Desmond is walking into the building on the far right security screen. I don't have screenshots because well...I'm at work. Don't judge me.

BTW, when Jeffries disappeared again it's 10:16 on the clock.

2:53 "inverted" ?

That's pretty great. I'm willing to believe it is Chet.

As far as the time thing goes, I have played with it before. I find had the idea when I rewatched FWWM about halfway through the Return. I recall meeting up with Mike to do the podcast, and trying to explain what I was thinking, and then deciding it was maybe too convoluted to try and get into when we recorded.

Anyway, if you've already had the initial thought - that this time after 10 amounts to an inverse of 2:53 on an analog clock - and we take that as a starting point, there are a few other things worthy of note. It is shortly after 10pm when Sam and Tracy are killed in NYC, and also when the Woodsman is in the radio station in Part 8. And, I think there was at least one more instance I am struggling to recall right now.

Alternately, we have the idea that 253 adds up to 10 - the number of completion. Just before Jeffries arrives, Cooper tells Cole that it is 10:10am. One way or another, these times seem to be significant.

I also think that in one shot in FWWM there the clock may actually read 253, and that this might have been a continuity error at first that inspired this whole thing. But, I'm not sure.

Regardless, I have never quite worked any of this up to the point of what might be called a theory, but would definitely be interested if anyone else does.

The FWWM Jeffries 10:10 observation is interesting. Two identical numbers suggesting a double, althought in the case of an incomplete Coop split into good abd evil, maybe 5:05 would have been more appropriate. But the double 10 does tie in nicely with Jeffries pointing at Cooo and asking "who do you think that is there?" Jeffries suspected Coop to be Mr C?

Also, if Sam and Tracy are killed shortly after 10pm, does that mean Coop appeared in the glass box at 10pm sharp?

Oh, right, good call about Coop appearing in the box around the same time. I think that would also be after ten. As I recall, my evidence here is that Tracy gets off work at ten, though now I am feeling like I should maybe double-check that, since it's been a bit.

Yeah! Jefferies  (and Briggs and possibly  Desmond)  could all have Dopplegangers or tulpas!
