I believe it was. It sounded like his mom shouting after him. I get the impression we'll be seeing the rest of the Hornes real soon.

Poor Johnny Horne. I know we never saw much of him in the series, but in The Secret Diary he comes across as very sweet.

Johnny Horne is listed in the credits, so i am pretty sure that is him. death by running head-first into the wall, very similar to Leland Palmer's death running head-first into his cell door.
Johnny was Audrey's older brother, creating another possibility regarding Richard Horne's parentage.
