I was thinking, after watching the whole thing, that what if it's a view from outside a car? The movement could be stars reflecting in the window, and what you see to the left is Mr.C sleeping? Just a thought.

But Hastings' secretary also had the coordinates, so I don't think whoever it was would go through the trouble of decapitating Ruth, but left the secretary wide open.
Also, when Hastings said Ruth died after Briggs floated up, did he mean she died right after, or some time later?
