that Bobby slams against concrete: notice the sound it makes is like the sound Ben & Beverly hear at the G.N.
i caught on to that too. they could be related. i bet there is a connection...
Which is also the same sound as the what's made by the floating object behind the curtain in Cooper's first dream and the sound coming from when The Arm is controlling time with the coffee in the Waiting Room.
Similar...though the cylinder has a more siren/buzzing quality, where the GN sound is much higher pitched and bell-like....
side note about the little container: i'm watching the replay of episode 9, when they open the container, the 2nd piece of paper with all the numbers says "Cooper Cooper" on it...Hawk says "2 Coopers". But, if you look closely, its says "Cooper Cooper Coo". 2 1/2 Coopers. the half Coo is most likely referring to Dougy, but i'm not 100% sure about that.
As I just posted in a different topic, it is a piece of the printout major Briggs brought to Dale, in which it said "cooper" three times...

I didn't see your other post, thank you for the clarification 🙂
I don't know why but still convinced the humming sound from hotel is JOSIE

You could still see it as Dougie, since he is like half a man...
Does anyone have an idea what one of these little containers are called. I found it fascinating.

It has seemed possible. Toward the end of season2, Ben turns around suddenly in his office, and seemed alarmed. This was some time after Josie got stuck in the drawer knob. It looked like he had seen something, but this is never explained. What I don't get in this season 3, is why Ben and his gf don't seem concerned enough about the strange sounds to have an engineer or someone like that have a look. It could be serious. Instead they just use it as an excuse to hang out and flirt.
It's called a macguffin
Hehe. Like the glowing attache case in Pulp Fiction, for example.

It reminds me of a metal pencil lead holder, more common with the 1.2 lead size of antique mechanical pencils. Some gun barrels will ring like that.
There's ever some matter of intriguing box contraption in Lynch projects. I'm glad to see this one was solved a lot quicker than the Eckart puzzle box or the blue box from Mulholland Dr.
