Around the dinner table, the conversation was lively. Thank you but for now, the forum has been archived.
Just wondering...There seems to be a fracture in time in that scene. And the name Bing mixes Big with Bang.
I am still so confused on the Bing thing. I heard "Billy" and it was reported the closed capturing saying it was "Bing" was wrong. However, I have read conversations that name Bing appears in the credits.
As if I didn't have enough to be confused about on this show. I have no clue if the scene had a real meaning or it was just a throw back tot he TP Origins quirkiness.
Bing comes into the RR and asks if anyone has seen Billy.

I'm pretty sure he said Billy, but no doubt his name is Bing. Funny name don't you think?
My line of thought here is:
If we make changes in the past -and we've been talking about time travel - that will necessarilly bring changes to the present.
It's quite clear that there are some subtle changes in the RR interior after Bing enters asking about Billy. I don't think that scene was randomly placed at the end of part 7. I relate that scene with the events that take place in the past on part 8, the nuclear test in particular.
Also the RR/Bing scene could be seen as a hint on the oncoming introduction of a new major variable (change) in the plot.
Right, let's get this cleared up before it gets ridiculous:
The guy who runs into the RR clearly asks for Billy. Whoever "Billy" is, he doesn't get a credit because - guess what? - he doesn't appear. It's a name in a line of dialogue, nothing more.
So, as already posted, the most likely scenario is, a character named Bing - as credited at the end - comes into the RR and asks for Billy. No fracture, nothing to do with time travel, just some ordinary incident.
Now, that may have something of consequence later on but why on earth are people getting confused about Bing being Billy or vice versa is beyond me.
There was some confusion because if you watch with the subtitles on they incorrectly said "Bing" instead of "Billy" - but this was officially acknowledged as a mistake by Showtime or whatever.
Regardless, that's not what leads to the thought about some kind of fracture. That was just an oopsie by whomever did the subtitle work. What we should be talking about is that the patrons in the RR change from shot to shot. It is really quick, but we see different people, and/or the same people in different locations. And Shelly seems to maybe kind of notice.
What that might have to do with this unseen person named Billy, or with Bing, who we did see prior to this performing with Trouble at the Roadhouse, is anyone's guess.
Of course, maybe people talked about this more in the episode 7 forum somewhere. I don't really know what to do with it, but it weird and worth noting.

Occam's Razor says it's most likely to be a continuity error. Even Lynch ain't perfect. And, of course, nor am I so I could be completely wrong about that.
Conspiracy theorists will love this. The 'Closed Caption-ist' typed in Bing on purpose!
"Right, let's get this cleared up before it gets ridiculous" sorry SamX 😉
They didn't want to reveal that Bing shouted, "anyone seen BILLIE?" Recall the scene in Part 5 when Charlotte asks Richard for a light and climbs into booth with him; he gropes her and gal in next booth stands and confronts him. She might be Billie. Another possibility is, Billie could be one of Renault's escort girls? Here we go again !?!

Yup, Billie would work. That's a damn fine cup of coffee idea. Me likey.
I think Bing is Lynch's son....he is the guitarist or singer in the band that plays at the Roadhouse that episode...?
- Guitarist. No one is singing in that band.
Nope...nevermind... he says Billie and I have no idea who Billie is
