Ok, everyone is talking about the mesmerizing flashback of this episode, but I'd like to focus in the phone conversation of the guy who shot.
He's talking to "Phillip". Maybe Phillip Jeffries? Could be he alive? Obviously, It's impossible his appearence in the show, but I like to think that he is the Philip we met.

We don't know, Mr. C. suspected he was not talking to Jeffries when he at first thought he was.

Also, DoppelDale said Phillip was "still nowhere", whatever that means.
And I half-suspect when everyone's calling Phillip they're talking to a black box in Argentina. But I don't know.
