Do the hobos gather at the convenience store?

And it's only single storey, so it wouldn't have a room above it, would it?

I think that scene was showing how/when they spawned as a result of the nuclear explosion but not sure exactly what is going on. Perhaps the store was in proximity to the the explosion and this was some type of cross dimensional malfunction that created multiples.

Is it the same store the youngsters left in 1956?

i wondered that at first. on a closer look, it is similar but not the same design and has different doors and window placements

There's something odd about a convenience store named "Convenience Store".

They seem different-and the "Hobo" store does have steps on the right side-could be a small apartment up in the back.....

Didn't Jeffries say he attended a meeting above a convenience store?

Yeah...that's why it was in the episode.

im curious as to whether that's the same store from FWWM...I thought that store was actually in Twin Peaks.

Im guessing that the dust men's first gathering place after their creation was a convenience store and maybe they've continued to meet in other convenience stores ever since.

Note that most doors come at a height of about 1.8/2 meters. The ceiling of the store is about 5/5.5 m if I can calculate it correctly by just looking at it from the screen. It can be entirely possible to have a "second floor", or at least a room above the actual store. On the other hand, the room we see in FWWM seems a lot bigger than it would be in the convenience store shown yesterday. However, the room above it can be a portal to the inter-dimensional place where the room where they met is "located" (not sure I explained myself correctly here).

So, to me, that IS the convenience store.

I think it's definitely a reference to the one in FWWM, but not sure it's exactly the same.

The fact that it's called "convenience store" makes me think this is a mock-up town built for nuclear testing purposes only, and no real people really go there, but as it was the site of the explosion, the Woodsmen gathered around it.

I posted this pertaining the famous "room above the convenience store" scene in Fire Walk With Me, and Mike's old saying that he and Bob used to live above a convenience store.

The hobos not only gathered outside it, but they also went in, shown in their silhouettes when the place was brightly lit inside.

In Fire Walk With Me's room above convenience store scene there are 2 bearded characters credited as Woodsman, but they aren't charred.  The charred hobos in this episode is credited as Woodsman also.

Now the main issue is just that this convenience store looks single storey.

The place the couple left from is a different building, but it could be at the same site 11 years later.  It only shows a gas station though, no indication of a convenience store.  BUT, this building is 2-storey.

Good point! What kind of convenience store has CONVENIENCE STORE written on it, even in the 40s?

Wait, Zack, it was never said that that store was in Twin Peaks.  Plus it was shown mixed in with Phillip Jeffries reappearance scene which was in Philly, and Jeffries who claimed he's seen that room came from Argentina.
