Around the dinner table, the conversation was lively. Thank you but for now, the forum has been archived.
I have to admit this scene is so touching and moving... if it wasn't so short and surprising I would have tears in my eyes.
It confirms how brave, good and decent agent Cooper is, hero "to the bone". Even in almost catathonic state he's ready to defence not only himself but first of all his wife (even if she's actually stranger to him) cause that's who he is, it's his superego being law enforcement, protect.
Yes, that was intense - and it fueled a scenario, in my mind, where a very good ending for Coop (after whatever he has to confront in this season) could be to just live the life that once was Dougie Jones': it'd be both sweet (he definitely deserves that more than the 'original' Dougie) and bitter (it would never be *his* life, after all.. not fully, at least), both comforting and discomforting. It's jtust a thought, though - most likely, this isn't the direction the story is going.
It reminded me of Cooper's action at One Eyed Jack's.

Exactly same thought, superfast kick
Let's go! COOP is coming back people!
i love also his reaction every time he sees a badge.
Agree that Cooper if ever regains his consciousness will not leave his wife and son(!). Spending almost half of his life trapped he didn't have a chance to start a family yet he has it now. And despite his state of mind he got for sure positive attitude towards his little strangers family. Bitter sweet - good point!
