What does Sheriff Truman know?

Sheriff Frank Truman seems to be a remarkably patient and open-minded individual.  He deals calmly with irritants like Officer Chad and damaged souls like his wife. More notable, however, is his discussion with Hawk while examining the missing pages from Laura's Diary.

Hawk knows that the lodge is a real place, knowledge of it being an integral part of his Nez Perce heritage.  Sheriff (Frank) Truman, interestingly,  does not react with surprise or scepticism when Hawk relates how Coop went into and came out of the Lodge.  Only one person witnessed with his own eyes Coop entering and leaving the Lodge - Sheriff (Harry) Truman.  Harry probably told Frank about this, but didn't give him all the details.

A major question for Harry when he is able to talk to Frank - what did Doppelganger Coop tell him?  Surely Harry would have asked him where he had been?  Presuming the good Annie came out and not a doppelganger, what did she say to Harry (assuming she survived - has this been confirmed?).

Maybe no time passed for Harry Truman while Coop was in the lodge?

Yeah, I was thinking how Harry could weigh in on this discovery of the missing pages and their mention of Coop.  I know Frank tried to talk to him, but it sounded like Harry was about to go through Chemo or something. Frank says "this is not important, it can wait" and hangs up. while I have sympathy for Harry and his illness, this is damn well important and no, it cannot wait...haha. Maybe Frank will launch another Skype sesh

I'm still hoping for a surprise appearance by Michael Ontkean later on. Perhaps Harry will appear towards the end of the series when the ability to distinguish b/w RealCoop vs. DoppelCoop becomes crucial. I'd hate to see Harry only being mentioned off-screen, especially if he is suffering from a terminal illness 🙁

Could be wrong...but I'm pretty sure they mention how much time passed for Truman as well as what they showed, in terms of time passing, in the episode.

You are correct. Not only does Harry tell Andy that hours have passed, we see it pass.  It's pitch black night when Cooper goes in, still dark when Andy arrives, but when we come back from the commercial break, it's now morning.  Andy offers to get Harry breakfast from the Double RR and the rest of the act (the bank, the RR) takes place during the day, and then it's night again when Cooper (Doppelganger)  comes out.

Michael Ontkean- UNLESS it has been a huge planned bluff ( unlikely as it seems he HAS retired ), we won't see him.

(Keep in mind tonight will be my second view of this episode.)

until this episode I always assumed Harry was very ill. What if he is in a alcohol treatment center?  After Josie died he turned to drink. Maybe now he's fallen on hard times and become an alcoholic and he needs to kick it. Maybe everyone's just saying he's sick as a cover for the real story.

i know they mention frank Truman in the Mark Frost book, I can't remember why he comes back to Twin Peaks in the book.
