Around the dinner table, the conversation was lively. Thank you but for now, the forum has been archived.
So many things. It's probably the best episode of the revival so far. Many new revelations, including:
- Hank's finding the missing pages of Laura's diary - with LP writing Annie's revelation that "the Good Dale is still in the lodge."
- Audrey's fate after the bank fault explosion.
- Diane cursing everyone she met, then her face to face encounter with EvilCoop.
- Dougie "the Cobra" Coop disarming Ike the Spike.
- More badass acting by Laura Dern, Naomi Watts, and Ashley Judd.
- The Great Northern's missing room key making its way back to Ben Horne - with a possible sound cameo from Josie Packard.
- Heart-to-heart talk b/w Norma and Shelley at the end.
Anything else you'd like to add?
Yes this episode reminded me of the first two seasons, maybe the best so far.
That appearance of the hobo loooking man in black reminded me of the hobo from Mulholland drive. That creeped me out. Was he the floating spirit from the prison ? I love how the electricity hum turns on as soon as the man appears in the scene. Is that an audio reference to the lodge?
Albert and Gordon are great characters!
"smash his hand, smash his hand" -The extension of the Arm. Was that the Arms doppelgänger? And what did the cops peel off the gun?
Great episode! And I'm dying to see Audrey! Who's Billy?(dude screamed in the Diner)
- Heart-to-heart talk b/w Norma and Shelley at the end.
What heart to heat with Norma and Shelley? Norma just sat there doing the books and Shelley was behind the counter. Neither said a word. (I also think that footage of Norma was reused from Part 5.)
"- Heart-to-heart talk b/w Norma and Shelley at the end."
Did I miss something? Haven't seen that
I cheered when Dale Cooper sprung into action. It was the opposite of how I cringed in terror when Ike the Spike stabbed his victims. Nice payoff.
Well before we knew there'd be a new TP show, Audrey's fate was known, as S. Fenn had said David told her back then when she asked about it that "Audrey's not dead."
Yes it was excellent that Coop disarmed Spike ( his FBI training kicked in ) with a little help from "the Arm." I'm wondering if news of a little person attacking with a gun in Vegas will get back to the FBI.
"- Heart-to-heart talk b/w Norma and Shelley at the end." Are you thinking of a different ep.? It's a busy night at the diner, Shelly is talking with customers & Norma is doing paper-work.
" "smash his hand, smash his hand" -The extension of the Arm. Was that the Arms doppelgänger? And what did the cops peel off the gun? "
The Arm's doppelganger wouldn't help Cooper. A guess is part of Spike's flesh.
Yeah no doubt one of my favorite episodes so far! i mean i love them all but this one was fantastic!
Damn i love Diane! i hope we see more of her!
And of course every time Lynch plays Gordon is another reason why i love it so much!
Give Kyle Maclachlan all the awards already, his acting is unbelievable!
Laura's theme is back.
The trees
Being in Twin Peaks
Easily the best episode so far!

Do you mean they were communicating telepathically over the music playing?
Agree with the OP. Best episode so far.
How come nobody mentioned the floor sweeping scene at the Roadhouse? Even without the phone conversation at the end, it was a work of genius. The most tedious, skin crawlingly annoying scene ever (you just know you were thinking "I could sweep a lot better than that") but set to a great soundtrack.

Yeah, that comment threw me, too.
This was definitly the most old-school TP episode so far, and the one more centered in the town. The strange sound in the Great Northern is indeed very Josie-ish, although Joan Chen is famously not in this season (sadly). But I can't wait to SEE Audrey! And I hope Harry makes it alive til the end of this season and Michael Ontkean decides to give his retirement a break and returns for a possible 4th season (or 2nd film)? I doesn't cost to dream... Anyway, great episode!

Agreed. I only consider this episode along with Episode 4 as the TP-centered episodes of the season. In the rest we saw DougieCoop and his adventure in Vegas, EvilCoop in his cell somewhere in South Dakota, etc.
I also hope we'll see Michael Ontkean (Harry) again. I don't like the idea that Harry would be killed off-screen from his illness (presumably cancer), given that he's a pivotal character in Season 1 & 2.
Regarding my comments on the RR scene. Sorry, my bad. I thought Shelley and Norma also had a conversation here, but apparently not. Then again, the RR scene might hold a clue about TP world and what makes it so weird (hint: look at where the diner customers were sitting or standing before and after the guy who was asking for Billy showed up).
