That's what the evolved arm says to Dougie.
The police recover a chunk of flesh off the gun.
Police recovered a chunk of flesh from Hastings trunk.
the piece of flesh that the police received off the gun and the piece of flesh recovered from the trunk must be related!
How?
Could Ike the spike be the librarian denogganator?
Ike the Spike is hired by Vegas dude via disappearing red button pager person (Philip Jeffries)?
The ring found in the headless body(Garland Briggs?) was Dougies ring from Janey-E
So Buckhorn and Vegas are related.
Hastings wife is killed by Mr C and made to look like the lawyer.
The piece of flesh reminds me of the ear in Blue Velvet.
Just thinking out loud..,
"Hastings wife is killed by Mr C and made to look like the lawyer. "
The lawyer who she had an affair with. More garmonbozia to feed on.
Rewatched the Ike the Spike attempt on Dougie.
Was hoping to see a 4:30pm on a watch or clock but no luck.
Its around quitting time.
Its after school.
The giant warned him.
Seeing the Ike attack scene again, what is peeled off the gun is a bloody bandage.
It looks like at least Coop's thumb touched the gun, so I wonder if the police will run the prints & discover he's Cooper.
I thought it was a piece of skin, similar to the one found in the Principal's car.
Edit: Ah, I see others are thinking along the same lines. 🙂
You can see his bloody palm when he turns and runs.
Maybe injured when he killed Loraine.
When Ike drops a gun, there is nothing on it. You can see something like blood on his hand but nothing on the gun. Only in the scene when police pick up an evidence we see "something" bloody stuck to it.
I think it's another purposeful oversight.
That's why I thought it didn't make sense, no matter how hard Dougie squeezed, for the skin to get stuck onto the gun so firmly, that when he pulled off his hand the skin stayed on and was torn off the hand. (Plus it looked pretty easy to peel off the gun later)
My first thought was Ike was just using another person's skin to get the prints. But then that piece of skin didn't look like it had finger parts.
hello everyone!
i have noticed, like most other David Lynch fans, that a lot of his prior works have been popping up in the new season of Twin Peaks.
in this episode for instance, EvilCooper says to Diane "At your house" in a similar way and tone that Robert Blake's character said to Bil Pullman in Lost Highway.
when the Arm appeared during Ike's attack of Cooper, and said repeatedly "Squeeze his hand off!", it reminded me of the little boy in Dumbland watching his father trying to remove a stick from a man's head. the boy repeated over and over "Poke his eye out! Poke his eye out!".
the head of the evolution of the Arm even looks similar to the head of the boy in Dumbland.
do you think that David Lynch is intentionally including moments from all of his prior works into these 18 hours? and if so, why?
these are just 2 examples, but there are countless others (ie: Naomi Watts' pink blouse from Mulholland Dr, Cooper flying through space like the boy from the Grandmother etc)
Jack
Good catch. Yes, I think they are related. The skin looked weird and it was the first time I thought that Ike the Spike was maybe not really human. hmmm...
The black figure is the same as the figure behind the wall in MH.
( paraphrased perhaps ) "If you look back at old work you've done, it can give you ideas that you want to work on." - David Lynch
It seems to me that Ike could be an evil incarnation of the "Arm" (the real-world tripleganger analogue of that yellow hissing Evolution-Of-The-Arm-Tree-Thing we saw in the Lodge). This would explain why the "squeeze his hand off" advice given to Dougie comes from the good EoTA, and why Ike is a dwarf. It would explain why his hand is unworldly and malleable ("sometimes my arms bend back" manifested?)
I rewatched episode one and two last night and yea the piece of flesh found in the trunk of the car I'm sure is the piece of flesh taken off the gun from Ike The Spike.
