Cole: "That's the spirit mound, the spiritual finger"......this comes up for "spirit mound" in Wiki:
Stories and religious beliefs about "Little People" are common to many if not most Native American tribes in the West.[4][5][6] In 1804, the Lewis and Clark Expedition stayed for a time with a band of Wičhíyena Sioux on the Vermillion River in modern-day South Dakota. On August 25, Meriwether Lewis, William Clark, and 10 other men traveled about 9 miles (14 km) north of the river's junction with the Missouri River to see the "mountain of the Little People".[7] Lewis wrote in his journal that the Little People were "deavals" (devils) with very large heads, about 18 inches (46 cm) high, and very alert to any intrusions into their territory.[8] The Sioux said that the devils carried sharp arrows which could strike at a very long distance, and that they killed anyone who approached their mound.[8][9] The Little People so terrified the local population, Lewis reported, that the Maha (Omaha), Ottoes (Otoe), and Sioux would not go near the place.[8] The Lakota people who came to live near the "Spirit Mound" after the Wičhíyena Sioux have a story no more than 250 years old which describes how a band of 350 warriors came near the mound late at night and were nearly wiped out by the ferocious Little People (the survivors were crippled for life).[10]
......sounds a lot like a "lodge" to me.
The finger of the word "very."
"Little people with very large heads" reminds me of The Arm.
That's the ranting loony, not the Arm.
"Little people with very large heads" reminds me of The Arm.
Another little "person" with a very large head....
( the Arm ) looking closely at its head, I see a cat-like face on the side.
The Tree is the Evolution of the Arm(The Man from Another Place).
( the Arm ) looking closely at its head, I see a cat-like face on the side.
It is happening...again

The Beverly Center Mall hopes not.
"I am the Arm, and I sound like this *American Indian war whoop*"
Can this have anything to do with it?
Original show the Arm makes that sound, and fades it out, like energy fading.
What is Cooper missing related to Hawk's heritage? Missing his left 'arm': was trying to hide his arm in front of the statue at the beginning of 6, and right after he fought Ike and engaged his arm('squeeze his hand off') and man in a blue jacket appeared who was hiding his left arm under the jacket, while his right arm was out. So like Mike, his helper, he is missing his left arm.
What does the left arm stand for?: the spiritual mound, his infinite desire(red curtains lead to the red room etc.) which deals with what Cooper lacks(is missing) in his engagement with the world, and since it is lacking it drives Cooper to solve it, to deal with what is lacking. This leads to the excess of enjoyment which is the mound/base/lack for him as a normal person, open to transcendence and simultaneously impossibility/failure. Remember that Cooper only became BOB after his dream of saving a good Laura and settling in a just and good original twin peaks failed, leading to his mocking of his feeling for Annie(it was all based on a lie, etc., doesn't exist) and excessive self-destruction and acting out by hitting head on mirror.......tried for 25 years to get Laura to see the angel, and she trapped him there, using his attempt to fuel her perverse rage violating his law. Now Cooper is hiding his left arm(mound) and scared of the 'little people' in the red room. Like Leo, he needs some new 'shoes', burned by Laura's fire, thus in a catatonic state, nothing behind him, the 'arm' only appears briefly and is hidden again, etc..
So the left arm is a site of both 'jackpots' and terror-impossibility, without any way to get rid of either extreme aspect, gold-surplus-excess leads to brown-waste etc.. This also explains why Dougie-Cooper mumbled jackpots before his 'cobra' kicked in.....
