I don't find the interior of the Great Northern very convincing, the front desk in front of Ben's office? That's a bit weird. Was wondering whether there was a reason for that, have these scenes been shot at the real location or it's a studio?

I think you're right-they probably moved some locations due to security and budget. The Mar T "RR" diner is still the same location in North Bend, Washington.

If you look closely at about 45 minutes, you see a copper coffee pot and tea set that Audrey stood next to in the Pilot. They must have filmed these interiors at the Kiana Lodge, which is where the original interiors were filmed for the Pilot.

The Great Northern set felt very cramped to me, though I do feel like the lighting may have played a role in that.

In the first episode, in Ben's office, the set seemed fine, so maybe the lighting was the issue?

The original show, it was a set built in a warehouse in L.A. For example if you compare the diner of original show, you see the real diner ( new show ) is smaller.
