Around the dinner table, the conversation was lively. Thank you but for now, the forum has been archived.
I'll start by saying: if some past event, be it on or off the screen, is even briefly mentioned on any TV show ever made, that small mention is more than often a prophecy of a larger plot device to come. Part 7 was FULL of these small mentions, that's why I liked it so much. There was one particular note that caught my attention: Ben mentions that Cooper was shot in Room 315.
Which brought my attention to Cooper. His scars from the shooting (as well as the scars from the Pittsburgh incident, I might add!). Could seeing these multiple wounds be another flashback trigger for Dougie to snap out of it? Or, could they FINALLY convince his oblivious wife that something's not right with her hubby? Probably not, since she obviously has dressed him up multiple times.
I'm probably overthinking this. But, I also refuse to believe Lynch and Frost would've overlooked Coop's abdominal mess if they had Ben mention the shooting.

You're probably very close-"Dougie's" imminent visit to the doctor would probably reveal the wounds....and the fact that his blood and dna won't match jane-y's husband's. Coopers prints are also on the pistol used to attack him...they won't match either....
I currently think Cooper is going to be thinking and acting as Dougie until almost the end of the season, when he will be largely restored by returning to Twin Peaks via his uncanny intuition and luck. He will be fully restored by being reunited with his shoes.
