The file which Duncan Todd retreives when he's prompted by the red square on his computer screen appears to be the same one slipped under Ike the Spike's door - telling him who to kill.
It's identified by a black spot.
That just reminded me of Robert Louis Stevenson's 'Black Spot' which basically was a death sentence when given to a pirate & I wondered if it was inspired by that?
