Seriously, though, it's rather similar to the Woodsman/Wannabe DJ, although we didn't see him eat any brains ... or use a saw, for that matter. But still...
I probably go the same pubs as you so made nothing of it at first.
But there is also what happened to Sam and Tracy in Ep. 1 (results seen later on screen at FBI) and at least one scene much more recently but won't spoil here as we are only in Ep. 6. Suffice it to say I think Red is more significant than I first thought.
