Anyone know why Laura was credited?

Sheryl Lee was credited as part of the cast for this part, yet I don't recall seeing any footage featuring her.  Did I miss something?

Everyone who makes the slightest appearance is credited. Laura's face appears in every opening credit sequence.

I think it is also David Lynch's way of tricking the viewer to believe that Laura's there somewhere, maybe as a subliminal image, we just don't see her.

Laura is mother, her legacy of tyranny still reigns over twin peaks as destruction of law(golden face appearing over the green trees)..... what cooper is missing, why he saw the pale horse, he finally lost his investment in laura, there is no sweetheart to be saved, she is corrupt to the core, just like Philadelphia(and the possibility of a lawful, just, desirable 'old twin peaks', misery, blandness, and slow decay are enforced for laura's enjoyment)
