I thought Briggs did suspect he had gone to the White Lodge in season 2. But he couldn't remember anything. What I don't understand is why Briggs needs a couple of amateurish "dimension seekers"--Hastings and Ruth--to get some other coordinates for him. He must not have reached his ultimate destination 25 years ago.
