I'm currently reviewing the third episode for my own blog and I made a discovery that I found, in my own simple-minded way, to be mildly amazing.

I was googling information about the "Blue Rose" that is mentioned in episode three (and FWWM). I found a Twin Peaks fan website that posited that David Lynch had onced lived on a Blue Rose Street, and that the name could be taken from here. The website added that there was no Blue Rose Street in California, and so the story was probably apocryphal.

Idly - perhaps because I just wanted to know what Lynch's house looked like - I googled Blue Rose Street and found that there was one in Las Vegas. I swooped down using Google street view and at first I thought that I recognised the street. It looks very much like the road that Dougie Jones is ferried away from in the yellow jeep.

Unfortunately, try as I might, I couldn't positively ID the house or even, actually, the street in the end. So my story falls rather flat. But for a while I was amazed by the eerie similarity.
