Looks like Lynch made The Return for those of us who know how to enjoy art.

HAHAHAHA! Hahaha. Ha. Now, seriously, what was that.

Surely the grounded and open-minded among Lynch fans can understand where this frustration from those hating TR comes from. It may sound like arrogance, but it's just exhaustion from constantly being dismissed as just not arty enough to 'get Lynch'.

i`m the last one you need to worry about that regard...i am considered a `crazy person`here, so there goes my credibility (way up!)

can`t stand those shallow pseudo art-loving tards either...

"".(only for those to see,of course...)""

A better choice of words would've been: "TR operates on a certain wavelength, like radio." or maybe "caters to a certain personality type". You're not a native English speaker (and neither am I), so I'll take it that you didn't mean it to sound pretentious.

All auteurs are take-it or leave it, but Lynch is unique among them as having been appropriated by hipsters and turned into this big pop culture brand. I actually wasn't aware of this when TR started airing and was baffled by almost all critics following the same party line of mindless worship with no critical analysis at all. I had never seen anything like it.  I mean, established auteurs get some goodwill bonus but I hadn't realized that Lynch had become Hollywood's pet auteur in residence and thus beyond all reproach.

i am not even going into that...

i come from a strictly supernatural approach to this show...

i could drivel about those pesky hipsters for hours, who don`t know Takashi Miike from Lars von Trier, but that`s not my point...

this season strictly blew my mind as i am a `victim`of the mandela effect...

think dimensional travel...

IRL...

well, nuff said ^^

Lost's finale made no logical sense, but it was still true to its characters emotionally. TR on the other hand has been an audience-hating wank for Lynch throughout.

Hi fan,

Do you really think David Lynch hates Twin Peaks fans?

Just curious.   😉

Good lord.. It's valid to hate season 3.  It's valid to love season 3.  It's not valid to strut and preen at how YOUR reaction is so much more enlightened than another's.  It doesn't prove your sophistication, it proves you're an asshole.  Of course this is art. And art, by definition, is defined by the person examining the art. Some may see a beautiful dream and some may see a pile of shit.

I'd actually say that everyone being entitled to their opinion doesn't mean that some opinions aren't fairly terrible and wrong.

People have become confused about this in the age of the Internet, IMO.

Because the season finale was 17 weeks after the show started...

Actually, I do hear you. Pardon my bit of snarkiness earlier. I had different expectations, and kept thinking other viewers must have similar ones - I was incorrect. After the first episode, I turned to my wife and said, "You know this is never going to be completely unpacked, right?" She grimaced and said, "Unfortunately, I'm afraid you're right."
