"And the seasons they go round and round
And the painted ponies go up and down
We're captive on the carousel of time
We can't return we can only look behind
From where we came
And go round and round and round
In the circle game"

As Phillip Jeffries in his kettle from out of smoke made the symbol break off and re-create that of Infinity i think we can get a good idea of what is potentially going on here. It's a vicious never ending circle.

Coop in his attempt to stop Laura suffering and to stop Judy has tried to go back in time just like Annie. He has a plan and he executes it. At 430 miles he enters another dimensions in which he holds a different name but in this attempt again he fails. The Palmer house is not the same and the RR to GO is now the RR.

What do you guys make of this? I am struggling to put my thoughts together about this and would like to see what you guys think.

I think the 430 miles and Judy's diner sequences are two of a potentially infinite number of experiences Dale had after Laura disappeared.  He's slipping through time and realities to find Laura and somehow find resolution.

His defeated attitude before Laura screamed represented disbelief that finally bringing Laura to Twin Peaks didn't lead to resolution.

That's the story my mind has written.

I wonder how many times he has attempted this.

I think its definitely an ending i wasn't expecting. ep.17 seemed to have more closure and then bam we get all of this.
