So.....we kinda got filled in on Richard and Linda as well as 430 but I have no idea what the two birds one stone is referring to.

When Diane saw her double outside of the motel I briefly thought red haired Diane was tulpa number 2 (that two tulpas were made from one seed).

Of course from that point onward there were no more answers, only questions.

Did anyone catch or theorize on the 2 birds one stone?

Possibly Richard is Coop and Diane is Linda    Each in a different dimension?

Backing up from that point, when Coop and Diane met in the "god knows where--boiler room, convenience store--???" and they both asked the other, "Are you really him/her?"  Their answers were both affirmative but both delayed WAY too long.  I was suspicious of something from that moment on.

That's a good way to think about it.

I think that's it. A very Betty/Diane thing...

Save Laura, Harm Jowday - two birds one stone. But Jowday snatched Laura before she made it home and threw her into the Richard/Linda timeline.

But is the timeline we saw in the penultimate Part (before the rescue of Laura Palmer) still existing in TP universe?

Another reason that I say this is that Twin Peaks was deteriorating under the influence of Jowday and no presence of Laura to counteract it. Jowday had to nullify that timeline and start again in the other timeline - where Richard/coop stepped in at another attempt to kill Laura which this time Laura seemed to handle by herself just fine.

The original Twin Peaks timeline was reset and most likely without Jowday/Sarah or Laura existing from that point on. Who knows 🙂

I think (2) birds, (1) stone refers to a mission...just not sure what mission, unless its: Save Laura and restore the timeline (one where she always lived....preventing the need for Cooper to ever visit TP & get stuck in the lodge...the past dictates the presents, and would prevent much heartache.

BUT...then this crazy idea snuck into my mind.

What is Cooper is now an entity like BOB....and now he inhabits Richard's body....(2) birds (identities) in (1) stone (mortal being)...just a thought.

Tulpa or... doppelgänger?

What about 2 birds as in 2 owls creating the figure 8 which could either be Bob/Leland and Judy/Sarah or Judy inside Sarah and the golden orb of Laura the stone that is inside the 8 which he needs to find to destroy Judy by saving Laura from being killed by her father (Bob).  Thus he has already destroyed Bob and now needs to destroy Judy by saving Laura.  Thus destroying 2 birds with on stone.

OMG, how far down does this rabbit hole go? Everyone one of these I read, I formulate my discombobulated theory further.

Diane/Betty - the secretary (I drove my secretary home)

Dale/Hastings - The search for the zone/Blue Rose/Judy

My brain is on fire!

Judy didn't throw them into the Richard Linda timeline. They willing crossed over at mile 430 for a purpose which Dale was given by the fireman. I am not fully convinced that the purpose was "save Laura" since this was after he went to the past and took her hand.

Just to add to the confusion, there are two big anaglyphic pictures of birds in TSHoTP.
