I'm wondering what Mr. C's motive was for coming into the sheriff's station.
He just walked on in and sat right down. and waited. It was an incredible scene but I'm confounded. what was his plan? It was all a bit too easy. he just sat there and waited to get killed.
I know there's no further reason to speculate but old habits die hard.

Seems to me he came to the station to kill Naido.

But he didn't go to the station, the fireman sent him there (to meet his demise apparently) and Mr C seemed confused and surprised when he ended up there.
The sensation was 'inevitability'. Mr. C. had struggled mightily to subvert the will of the Lodge and prevent Bob from being destroyed. Mr. C. understood technology and the worst in people, but could not prevent the Lodge from acting upon him. The Lodge dumps him at the Sheriffs and he can't avoid being recognized. He goes along, expecting that violence will see him through, as it has in his experience.

Good point ... he certainly couldn't have known or expected Freddie to be there ... or that Lucy knows how to handle a gun
