Has any one thought about how Jeffries puffed out the sign of the experiment that then transformed into an 8.... the infinite number that never ends? In tracing an eight there is no real beginning and no real end... and I think the same can be said for what is happening?
I was confused to by the infinity sign. At first I was like "gah! More numbers to remember!!" But after sleeping I think this infinity sign may be an indication of infinite outcomes when trying to confront Judy - but you will always be caught in a loop because evil is always there...ugh need more coffee.

That's a good take on it. Evil is always within us .... we try to chase the good In our lives. But evil is always lurking. I do like the thought I have seen in some post thatRichard is the reality ... and he is a mix of the good Coop and the bad Coop .... but everything else? My head is still spinning with the possibilities!
I noticed the "8" of "208" on Gersten's apartment was a different colour from the "20" but only thought it was possibly significant when the similar style number "8" plaque was outside Phillip Jeffries motel room. Now I'm not sure if it was significant at all! I love David Lynch.
I think it also refers to Cooper's endless quest to save Laura even to the point of losing himself. I think we are seeing multiple attempts by Cooper to save Laura and unite her with Sarah, and he fails each time. So, as the time lines revert he will try again. A perfect ending to a Vertigo-like quest.

Though all the same color, there's a 708 on the Palmer's house, of course.
