starting on watch 3. Do!'t really know how to talk about it- pretty much every feeling being in play. So sorry to those of you who were looking for closure or answers. The fact that we got a denouement in th first 1/2 hour drives home the message that the story was not what we thought it was....
(Rhetorical)
Did anyone really want to be right in his/her predictions? Closure would have been a true letdown, IMHO. Possibilities abound.

I think that's exactly right. We learned a lot, and a lot of things don't make any sense, and that's just how it's always been.
I'm thinking now that there never was a Dale Cooper, FBI agent. Cooper was actually Richard and Diane was actually Linda. Never was a Laura Palmer either. Lots of symbolism and themes explored here but would take a lot of analysis. Lynch is the ultimate dreamer and Cooper's world was the dream within a dream.

That's a good clarification of my vague statement. There were closures, i.e., Mr. C is cooked, Freddie executed (pun intended) his destiny, and Lucy can handle both cellular telephones and firearms, it turns out.
There were also the trademark Lynchian wtf's. No examples needed.
I'm not mad about the ending. I'm just confused. And in many ways, that makes me happy. I'm happy that for the first time in a while, I've seen a television series that confused me. Where I couldn't figure out the answers, even at the end. That's what this show is to me. It was one hell of a ride.
Episode 18 should be renamed "Filler and 20 minutes of Story"
Exactly what I expected. . , which is nothing what I expected

That's fine.
There's plenty of lynch fans who will simply gobble this up bc lynch put it out there.
There's also many who are neutral or just peaks fans who watched that wondering how much of a finale needs to be dedicated to a car ride.

Agreed ... while I enjoyed this season overall, I was disappointed with the final episode and feel that Many parts within the 18 hours were unnecessarily drawn out.

It was NEVER about the story.....
